Can I use a pitching machine with a professional-grade cage?

Yes — pitching machines are a standard part of batting cage use, and properly specified cages are designed for the ball velocities machines produce. The key is matching the machine’s output speed to the netting specification. A machine throwing 85 mph in a cage specified only for 55 mph is asking the netting to absorb more energy than it was designed for repeatedly, which accelerates wear and eventually allows ball penetration. We spec the netting for the maximum velocity the cage will realistically see — accounting for the player’s growth trajectory, not just their current age group.

Do training systems add value to the home at resale?

A professionally installed, well-integrated system adds genuine functional value for buyers with athletic families — and athletic families are a specific buyer segment that will pay a premium for training infrastructure that’s already in place. The aesthetic integration matters: a cage with turf, powder-coated framing, and thoughtful placement relative to the rest of the yard reads as an amenity; a cage that looks like an afterthought reads as something the buyer would have to deal with.
